The image began spreading on 31 August while the Grammy-winning singer and Wicked star was in London for the final dates of her Eternal Sunshine Tour. Fans quickly connected the outing to possible ring shopping, although neither Grande nor Alvarez has announced an engagement.

The viral claim needs one important caveat. Fan accounts identified the shop as Graff, the luxury jeweller whose official bridal range includes diamond engagement rings. Fashion Times has not independently verified the location, however, and there is no evidence Alvarez was shopping for an engagement ring. A partner spending time with a girlfriend's mother does not prove a proposal is coming, and a visit to a jewellery shop could have countless explanations, but the image arrived after weeks of increasingly public signs that Grande and Alvarez are serious about being back in each other's lives. The engagement theory has therefore become the latest chapter in a reunion that Grande herself has gradually made less private.

For now, however, there is no confirmed engagement, no publicly identified ring and no proposal announcement from either Grande or Alvarez. The disputed Graff claim should also not be treated as fact, despite continuing to circulate across fan accounts. What is confirmed is that the pair are back together, Grande has publicly featured Alvarez on Instagram, they appear to share sentimental tattoo wording, and Alvarez has been spending time with her family as her London tour run comes to an end.
